I have always been fascinated by the design and pop culture of the 1980s, and here is my interpretation of it.
This is a personal project in which I explore and research the best examples of 1980s design and pop culture.
They are indeed years of great technological revolution that have fascinated me since I was a child, and with these illustrations I wanted to pay homage to them in a modern key.
The choice of colour palette is not random, in fact the focus has been on the combination of bright colours, with a maximum of 3 shades and few variations: simplicity always wins.
The dark strokes hark back to the hand-drawn drawings with felt-tip pen that were the ‘speciality of the house’ for many years, before discovering the magic of the vector pen.
